No sound when speaking with people in Shenmue 2

Hi

I have the PAL version of Shenmue 2 and i'm playing it on NullDC. It works perfectly, except when i make Ryo talk to people. There's no sound when i do so, only text. Is this the emulator's fault or is the game image corrupt? If you guys could help me i'd appreciate it very much!
